I've spent a lot of time with my camera and with photoshop and with my computer these past few months. For some strange reason, I was under the impression that all those hours would have made me more adept at messing around and changing the appearance of my blog.
Who was I kidding?
When I stopped paying for the priviledge to play on Typepad, they changed the look of my blog. Anyone remember how it used to look? Green ball of yarn? Green knitting needles?
Now that I'm a fully reinstated member (in good standing I might add, thank you, Shira...she got us back online after a password problem) I thought I'd mess around and change a few things back. That was obviously a bad idea. I can't change the banner photo and make it fit in it's allotted spot. And what is a header, anyway? I don't think I need one, do you?
The more that I look at the photo they (the powers that be at Typepad) chose for my banner, the more I like it. It's not mine. I wish it was. I think it's very good. I like nature photography. I love macro photography. I'm more a photographer now than a knitter. I'm going with it. I just don't want to take credit for work that I didn't do, so this is my disclaimer.
Now the berries above IS my photo. It was going to be my Christmas card this year, but then it was chosen by our community college to be theirs. That was very nice of them. It gave me an excuse not to send cards.
So, will anyone care if the focus (photography pun intended) of this space shifts from... knitting, knitting, knitting, photo, knitting, knitting...to....photo, photo, photo, knitting, photo?
That is....if I can steal space from Shira, who thinks the whole blog should be renamed the Princess Posts* in her honor!
*She-Ra is a fictional character in the 1985 Filmation series She-Ra: Princess of Power and its 2018 reboot She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. For some strange reason, Shira thinks she was named after her, thus the demand for Princess in her name. I keep telling her that no Princess worth her salt goes around farting like she does, and until that stops....she can't claim the title.
Hi Steph! I love the new look of your blog. I remember She-Ra from the 80s. I think my husband used to watch that with our oldest. Hadn't thought about that for a while. I love that berry photo. I will keep checking back with your blog because I enjoy how you write it and I don't care what you focus on - knitting, photos, or Shira - whatever. I will keep visiting. Have a Merry Christmas!
