It's been more than a while. Weeks? Months? (Maybe not years.) Long enough, I'm sure, to find that there is no longer anyone in this space but me. That's OK. I talk to myself a lot.
For anyone who trips into this space by mistake, let me fill you in. It used to be a knitting blog. I was an insane knitter. (note the past tense) I still knit, only now I'm a moderate knitter with dreams of someday having no stash. Some dreams will never come true. I get it. That's OK, too.
I had this blog for several years when FreddyDogYoung (cocker rescue extraordinaire!!) pretty much took it over. He had a rather nice following and I could tell how disappointed his viewers were when I threw in a knitting post. They tolerated me, and that, too, was OK.
He got old, then older, then very very disabled and sick. He died the end of July. And that was not OK. And life around here was very sad.
Let me introduce you to a new friend of mine.
She's shy. (With good reason) Shira. Turn around and say 'hi'. I'll be quick with the camera....promise.
Good girl!
Friends, meet Shira. (She came with her name, but I think it's pretty.) It's a Hebrew name meaning Poetry and Song and her name has been the only positive thing in this poor little girl's 8 year old world; we would never take that from her.
Her new life began one week ago when we adopted her. New beginning for her. Maybe new beginning for the blog.
I wonder how long before she takes it over?
And that would be OK.
oh she is beautiful!!! God bless her in your home! her new home!!! I am glad you have her! I lost my Cleo Cat in August - I Know how sad and hard the loss is. I am glad you have a new beautiful dog to love! God bless you all!

Hello and welcome back to blogland! I have been absent from this interesting realm myself for over 10 months and just started posting again. What a lovely face and a beautiful name for sweet Shira. Welcome Shira. I am sure she will have a lot to tell all your blog friends once she gets started. You have been missed in this blog world. Hope you are back to stay!

Just wanted to let you know you’ve been missed and no, you’re not taking to yourself. Well, maybe you are, but I’m listening😉

So pleased to see you back. Lovely photos. Shira has a beautiful name. How old is she and how long before she made friends with you? She has certainly fallen into the perfect home this time.
