It's spring...isn't it? Snow is predicted tonight, but I'm sure they don't really mean it. I put away all my wintery winter clothes...got out what passed for transitional spring clothes last year, and pretty much wonder what I really wore, since everything looks blah this year.
So I grabbed the knitting needles.
Meet Aibrean by Isabell Kraemer. I've yet to meet a pattern of hers that I didn't love. Of course, I would rather be knitting it in a lovely silvery grey, but the stash only had purple. It IS linen, though, so I'm pretending I love purple as much as I would have loved grey. And who am I kidding?
By the time I finish knitting this....the temps will be nearing the 90s and it really won't matter what colour it is!
That purple is divine. Just what we need on a snowy April day. Enjoy the knitting.

Love your thoughts on being warm by the time you finish. Ohio has snow on the ground this morning, but sun is shining.

What a gorgeous sweater pattern. I feel purple is almost a neutral.
What the yarn like to work with?

Spring is elusive this year. You'll look amazing in this color!

Purple does go well with grey...I love linen sweaters when they are done, but it is not a real treat to knit with, is it? I've made three of the Kiawah sweater from Drop Dead Easy Knits, all in Linens, only one for me...

I get it- would wear a grey sweater many times more than a purple one-- yet it is so great to look at the purple on the needles this dismal spring. Let's hope you don't get too much wear out of it before the weather warms up!

Oh I love this! And I love that purple. I just want to sit outside next to my blooming cherry tree and knit, knit, knit!
Mwah!
