It's warm. It's wooly. It's done. And it fits. Sort of.
It's big, like a big, warm, wooly hug....and I'm sort of OK with that. Should I ever knit it again (which I probably won't) I would go down a needle size and a pattern size (could this have been an error in gauge reading or simply a lack of doing a gauge swatch in the beginning?...you decide. hee hee).
Yeah. It's that big. BUT....I have options. It's extra long, so--because it's knit in 100% wool---I could slightly shrink it and if it shrunk overall, it would probably be about perfect. Except on the days that I really want the big oversized hunk of wool around me to layer over....well, layers.
The verdict is still out...not sure if it will stay 'as is' or become something more fitting, but in either case, the pattern (FLET by Olga Buraya-Kefelian) was really quite nice. And easy.
Try it...you'll like it!!
It sure looks nice and I can understand enjoying a nice oversize sweater. Such a lovely colour too!

LOL! We must be on a roll with the OVERSIZE issue. And, oh, my word! After that vest ordeal, I'm SWATCHING for a Tegna and I'm on my third needle size (gone up two from the size called for in the pattern with the yarn called for). Makes me really wonder how that vest could have come out so big. It will be dry this morning and I hope I have finally gotten gauge. Ha! Your big, creamy hug is beautiful! We will be the layering queens. ;) blessings ~ tanna

That looks like a nice cozy warm sweater. I have a few of those I wear around the house on cold days. Enjoy.

you're making it sound big! I hope you keep it! what I do is put it in time out for a few months then take it out and try it on again. Usually my emotions are gone and I can decide to keep, alter, or FROG. Oversize is in by the way!!

A VERY beautiful yarn-hug it is!! Keeping it big is the easier option. I'm not good a gauge swatches either... then I wonder why things are slightly "off"... ;) ((HUGS))

I knitted a very over-size sweater once upon a time - it is now a large cushion cover! Good luck in deciding what to do with yours :)
