Dear Friends,
This has been the saddest week of my life. Not just for me, but for everyone who lives in my whole world.
There was another school shooting. No community should ever have to live through a school shooting, but for our community, this was our second. This one came just weeks after we commemorated the 20th year of Heath High School's darkest hour. (I wasn't alive for that one, thank goodness. I couldn't have my heart broken twice in my life.)
My 'boys' play baseball and basketball with kids from that school. My Mommy knows teachers at that school. There is no way to express the pain.
I'm going to be sad for a very, very long time.
Love,
FreddyDogYoung
I thought of you when I heard about this and I am so so sorry. Katrine

Very sad indeed. I attending that high school (very different back then) my freshman year. What is wrong with people? Unfathomable.

I know what you mean Freddy... We have had a school shooting (Columbine) and a theatre shooting (Aurora). Very sad.

I'm so sorry for your loss and the pain your community will experience... for ever. Actually, I'm so tired that these shootings continue to happen, (11 this year and it's not February yet). When we will have meaningful GUN LAWS to protect our schools and community! I'm from Colorado and have seen enough of these preventable deaths and incidents!

One of your other readers has mentioned 11 so far this year! That is so desperately sad and seriously shocking. What on earth is going on in this world.
So sorry that this has effected your community and your family.
