Hubby's BROWN socks...(remember these?!?...the ones YOU all convinced me I needed to take on the plane a couple weeks ago) and Dan BROWN's latest novel. It's been awhile since I've grabbed a page-turner. I love to knit and read at the same time when it's a mindless, quick action story, but I can only knit very simple things; plain ole vanilla socks fit the bill. So, these left the safety of the car where they were poised to be a long-term, knit-and-grab-when-I-get-stuck-at-the-railroad-crossing (which happens more than you would suppose).
The book was fast paced, this time staying in Spain...a country I've never visited. But Gaudi took center stage, and his work I'm very familiar with....and the reason Barcelona has always been a dream trip. So I enjoyed it. I didn't like the fact that I found the story a bit predictable. It was no Da Vinci Code.
And the best part?
As I finished the last chapter, I found myself ready to kitchener the toe of the second sock. The book and the socks ended at exactly the same time.
THAT NEVER HAPPENS!!!
(and you thought Brown and BROWN was the coincidence, didn't you?!?)
LOL...Wish I could read and knit at the same time but seam to be having trouble just staying on a single task. Maybe its being with an 18mo. all day....brain mush;-} Love the socks, can't wait to see what your next knit will be.

Your knit and read super powers are super awesome! I wish I could do that! I'll settle for an audiobook or t.v. hehe. I love the Brown & Brown and I'm familiar with your book covers matching your colorways so titles of books and knitting projects are no surprise. Well done on your big finishes! Looking forward to your next projects.

I can audiobook and knit, but I can't read and knit. That is an awesome skill.
Not a Dan Brown fan. Too predictable!

Wow, this is some impressive serendipity. I love the matching yarn and book cover. The socks look great and they are finished.

I had no idea there was a new Dan Brown novel. Thanks for enlightening. I wonder who will start in the eventual movie...

I am always AMAZED that knitters can knit and read at the same time. I absolutely can not. I must concentrate on the knitting only.
Brown and Brown -- very clever. And bravo to you for such a great accomplishment and I love how you enjoyed the book so much, even if it wasn't the Da Vinci Code. Wonderful
