The Feza Baby Gradient Blanket kit was one big, boring project. I hate knitting with cotton, and this was a cotton/viscose blend that split terribly. I would have switched to wooden needles if I had had #2 circulars, and I think that might have helped.
So, what's on the needles now?
Color makes all the difference in the world.

I honor of our newly adopted 'pets'....I'm reading Sweetness and Light: the mysterious history of the honeybee by Hattie Ellis. Fascinating!
joining yarnalong....it's been awhile!
Ohhh this is the Raspberry! I like it! AND YES with the splitty yarn making it more laborious! But gosh the payoff is worth it in the weight of that fabric. I did make the switch to bamboo needles and it was the best call really.
The neighbors are having a boy ... maybe I'll see what colorways are available ...
You are the worst/best influence ;)

I love the gray! Have you read The Secret Life of Bees? (not really so much about the bees, but a great read) blessings ~ tanna

splitty yarn is not fun is it? I think your blanket is beautiful though and worth the cotton nightmare. I did all those dish cloths and that was a challenge for me!!

Well, the blanket looks lovely, even if it was annoying to knit. I hope you enjoy the gray more.
I may have to check that book - I truly love bees and it sounds like an interesting read. Thanks!

i know what you mean.....i really don't like working with cotton even though it's a much more practical fiber for the south. Really wreaks havoc on my hands!

I like gray too - knitting with it always feels peaceful. I don't knit much with cotton either, except washcloths. The texture just doesn't feel as nice while knitting. Happy Easter.

hope you have a nice Easter, too, Jane!!!

Haha, I love your strategy of knitting the whole thing over again :) But yes, colour does make all the difference!!

Yep-sometimes it is all about color. Then again having a meditative knit also helps. That is what I call boring knits-meditative.
Man oh man is that beautiful! You have a way of transforming simple knits into some truly elegant knits.
