Knitting with friends today.... real ones will be arriving this afternoon. (The second Nuremburg prune knitter appeared in my stocking...thanks, Hubby! Can't believe you got her home without me finding her!!!! Love her!!)
Yearly Intentions? Resolutions? Do you do these? And stick to them? My 2016 word was MINDFUL....a good word. I'm still a work in progress. According to Ravelry, I finished a whopping 66 projects; 31 of them have already been gifted....and a baker's dozen of them were sweaters if you count the 3 baby sweaters and Bressay (a dress) in the mix. I had also declared 2016 to be the year of the sweater, so I guess this was pretty good. Leaving 25+ UFOs....some waiting their turn at the finish line for years, is not so good. Mindful is still a great word. 'Get your act together, Steph, and finish some things' is a better sentiment.
A few of my 2016 'Favorites'....
- Favorite overall knit....Bressay.
- Favorite baby sweater....Gramps Cardigan.
- Favorite shawl.....Abide.
- Favorite mitts.....Kokkeluri
- Favorite cowl....Madalynn-2
- Favorite place to knit.....anywhere---with friends.
Starting the year off right...with friends.
I love that you started the year knitting with friends, Steph! Such a lucky group to have you. Mindful is a good word. Very like intentional. I like both of those. ;) Happy Knitting! blessings and hugs ~ tanna

Happy that you are starting the new year with friends. I started mine with oatmeal and cross-country skiing! The excessive snowfall here has been a blessing for my daughter with her new skis! There has been some form of mildly strenuous physical activity since the 27th, and I'm loving it. (My back, it is grumbling, but it will soon toughen up!).
You are an amazing example of getting out of life what you put into it, and with that inspiration I begin this year. All the best to you!

I love your start to 2017! Awesome way to begin!! I do resolutions, and last year was my most successful year - I think that success is directly because of my blogging - I did quarterly check ins - and that really made an impact for me. So, year two of resolution success is underway! I am also doing OLW - my word this year is JOY! XO
