Poor Freddy. I interrupted his morning nap to try on his sweater. So far, the sneak attack method is the only way I can get the sweater on him. The good news...it will fit (still needing the ribbing around the whole body---and the 'sleeves' which I'm debating about). The bad news....the predicted 4-6" of snow ended up being no more than a dusting and the temps are due to start rising---probably by the time the sweater is finished. (This is pretty much the story of my knitting life....I get cold, I cast on for a sweater. By the time it's done, the temps are in the 90s--or because the temps are in the 90s it gets abandoned BEFORE it's finished. sigh.)
In spite of the fact that he looks pretty darn adorable in it...
and that we have had the 'oh, you handsome boy' talk....he's not buying it.
(When it's on....I can't get him to move an inch...let alone get him to go outside!....reason for the photo under the incandescent lighting. We must work on this.)
Between trying to get this finished before the snow hit, and twiddling around in the new, almost completed, renovated space, my reading has suffered. I've been speed reading/skipping around in Marie Kondo's new book, Spark Joy. And I put myself to sleep at night with Paul Farmer's Haiti After the Earthquake (which I got to read before our trip, but our end of the trip got cancelled, so the read isn't quite as compelling---)
joining Ginny for another yarnalong!
Mowgli is not a fan of the clothing either. He will wear it, but he just pouts in the corner about it. I apparently have the opposite knitting effect - I finished my sweater last week and we are supposed to get a foot of snow this weekend. Ugh. Freddy looks totally adorable in his new sweater and I'm sure he will get a chance to wear it before the winter ends!

He is adorable is that sweater! But he does not look happy at all! Our dogs have way too much fur to wear clothes and I know for a fact that Buffett would rather die than wear anything.

That sweater is so darling! I'm sure it will cool down again :) My dog doesn't love wearing sweaters, but he's better if they're pullovers and he can't wriggle out of them-eventually he just resigns himself to being clothed.

super cute!!! so funny that he does not want to wear it... we are wondering how much snow we will have this weekend - could be up to 1 foot, could be much less. lovely knitting as always!

That sweater is adorable, but good luck with getting him to wear it! Our next door neighbor has a tiny Maltese who begs to put his sweaters on - Freddy would probably be appalled ...

I wish I was Freddy just so I could wear that sweater! It's nicer than most of what I own!!!

That sweater is adorable and I'm usually anti-sweaters on animals so that's saying something, haha! I love the fair isle pattern in it and he looks pretty sweet, albeit sad.
I didn't even know Kondo had a new book out, I'm interested to hear what you think about it!

I could easily sleep away the winter! xx

Oh what a cool dude.
Freddy, looking that cute you should be out there pulling the birds. No, not the feathered ones..

Freddy looks adorable! I love the sweater. Even if it is too warm this year, I'm sure he'll learn to love it another, colder winter.
I really feel like Spark Joy is what you should be reading before bedtime. Nothing makes me feel more tired than just THINKING about cleaning ;)

Oh, but Freddy looks so handsome in his sweater! I've been threatening to knit my cat a sweater for years. Now that we've taken on a second cat, it might finally be time.

Oh my goodness, this is adorable!! Though Freddy doesn't look very enthusiastic, more surrendered I guess, haha :)

I think he looks so sweet, and a photo of him wearing his sweater would make an awesome Christmas card.
Twinkie never likes when I put clothes on him either, so sad for him that I'm his mama and like to dress him up! ;)

He is lucky to sport such a beautiful fair isle...looks so warm and cozy. What a handsome chap he is.

Absolutely adorable! My Naya bites off the clothes I put on her so there will definitely be NO knitted sweaters for her!

So much cuteness! The fair isle sweater is just adorable. Can't imagine why the dog doesn't love it!

Handsome boy, is right!! ;) The Freddy-sweater is gorgeous, Steh! Every dog needs a sweater, right? And he's not buying any of it--touch customer he is! He looks a bit like he's playing dead in the photos... like some kind of torture device...LOL! This along with Freddy's previous post--oh, such fun! Poor, Freddy.. He's just soooo CUTE!! Keep us posted if the sweater sees snow...((HUGS))

Freddy is adorable and I'm sad that the snow was not there, I'm still hoping I get something!!!

Freddy looks so handsome in his sweater! Hoping for your sake that he'll let you dress him in it while he's awake. My little guy is the same way when it comes to sweaters * sigh*

Freddy's sweater is dead gorgeous! I haven't had the courage to try colorwork. I guess I'll just be content for the moment to drink in yours.
