The sunflowers have burst into bloom! Nothing more beautiful and more 'summery' than sunflowers. I love them.
But I didn't plant them.
I have a whole pot FULL of sunflowers. At the moment, over twenty buds or blooms.
Birds? Squirrels? Who should I thank? Do you think they just happened to dump some seeds in the pot? Or maybe they planted me a little 'thank you' gift for their winter food?
Chances are good, though, that they are just ensuring that they will have a meal next season.
They know they can't rely on what I planted...
I love them too!
Smart animals!

Beautiful! I love sunflowers so much-we have a nice big patch growing next to our garage that I don't remember anyone planting either. Hopefully they'll bloom soon so we can appreciate them!

Beautiful flowers! I bet all the woodland creatures got together to give this to you (woodland creatures are known to be organised and thoughtful).

Bah hah hah haa!
Me too! We both belong to the black thumb club. My husband brought home a hanging planter and my daughter wise cracked that she could hear it crying already.......
Enjoy the sunflowers!

Such pretty sunflowers! We've got a few growing on the farm where I work and it's tempting me to get some growing at home next year.

Sunflowers are the sunnyist!
I have a black thumb, too. I can barely grow hosta!

Sunflowers are my favorite! I still see the fields of them in my countryside where I spent all my childhood summers!

What a wonderful gift - a surprise bouquet of sunflowers! I have no luck with growing them because the chipmunks eat the seedlings as soon as they pop up. Luckily, we have some at the local community garden that I have been enjoying.
