An old sampler finally was made into a little project bag....a bit of embroidery added to the back just for good measure (because I've become somewhat obsessed).
And then I turned to some of those 'free' muslin bags that things are shipped in...
Three new project bags!! Time to cast on.
Maybe this? or this? I impulsively bought the yarn for this in Nashville last weekend.
Or this? No, that won't fit in these bags. Guess I'll have to stitch another one.
Who had time to read this week?!?! (Still working my way through The White Queen.)

The sampler is a Rebecca Ringquist design.
The flowers are just doodles I stitched. Maybe if this obsession continues, I could add a few more 'layers' and make them look more Angie Lewin-esque. Love her work!
joining Ginny for yarnalong.
Beautiful bags! You are all set for some lovely new things! xx

These are SO pretty! You have single-handedly gotten me interested in embroidery! The colors, the textures, the possibilities: time for me to learn a new skill:)

What kinds of things do you buy that come in "free" muslin bags? I don't think I've ever bought anything that came in a muslin bag.

Oh, I have so much to learn!!!

You make my fingers itch!! French knots were the hardest thing to learn at 9...and now I just love them. Embroidery still might be my love. Though, I promise, I dabble at knitting. The fingers just don't like it!

All so pretty, the stitching and the knits in prospect. And I just added Black Tea to my Rav queue, you are such an enabler!

Oh, wow! Those are some gorgeous project bags! It's amazing that you were able to take something as simple as a muslin bag and turn it into something so beautiful!

LOVE all of the embroidery going on here. What a clever idea to translate them into project bags. And what a well curated list of possible projects to fill them up with! I was drooling over everything in the new Brooklyn Tweed Wool People, especially that structured cardigan by Melissa.

I love your embroidery! I can't believe those flowers are "just" doodles. You have a great sense of color and pattern. Please keep sharing -- and I'd love to learn more about your techniques and inspirations!

Beautiful stitching! Such patience and skill with a needle.

I am in love with your embroidery. So stunning. Everyone should have such beautiful project bags to inspire them. Speaking of inspiration, all of your choices are beautiful, but I'm crazy about that stripped slip stitch shawl.

I didn't have time to read at all this week! Your project bags are so inspiring! To learn how to sew a basic project bag is on my to-do list! So simple, but for some reason I can't get to it! Love your gentle flowers!

Your embroidery work is lovely. Inspiring! Makes me want to pick up my needle and floss again.

My goodness, those are beautiful!
I've had all those crewelling and embroidery materials ready for years now, and I'm about to give up hope that I'll ever get round to trying to learn that skill. Seeing these makes me wonder whether I should not quite give up but perhaps take it all on holiday with me?! ;)
