A little of this....
- road tripping with friends to a fiber festival
- popping into a yarn shop
- popping out of the yarn shop with some yarn
A little of that....
And a whole lot of this...
This piece is finished except for putting something on the 'banner'...any ideas? and turning it into something.....any ideas?
I finally got around to covering an old cigar box...did a little embroidery on the top and had planned to do more. Got a bit carried away with the glue too soon.
Its job is to hold current embroidery WIPs.
So far so good.
I thought about you yesterday and will admit to being a wee bit envious of your trip ;) So, what yarn did you get?
I have a cigar box just waiting to be dressed up and after seeing yours I think tomorrow would be a great day to start!

Oh, no idea about the banner, but that would make a super cute pillow.

Tracey. ... fabric glue worked great...almost too great. Do all the embellishing and embroidery BEFORE you start the gluing!!! (hee hee....ask me how I know this!)

You're so talented. I had no idea you also embroidered. I'm very impressed with your stitchery.

I love your embroidery box. The threads make me want to start something. Not sure about the banner.....surname, first name of recipient, month, holiday, season. All possible choices. I think it would make a great pillow. The piece is beautiful.
