After I fried myself (yes, I WAS wearing sunscreen!!!.....pesky sun-poisoning--have it once, get it again forever), I was pretty much banished to the umbrella, on the covered deck, or under the porch. All perfect places to knit and vacation dream.....dreaming of another vacation while on vacation! (Can you tell I suffer from wanderlust?)
Kate Davis' Neep heid using Jamieson's Shetland Spindrift, souvenir yarn from a trip to Shetland.
The hat and I are going back to Scotland in the fall!!!
OMG, I love your hat and it will be perfect for your vacation to Scotland. I hope you take lots of photos!
Happy weekend.

I had sun poisoning the fall we were married (2003). Colin was 'this close' to taking me to the hospital -you know that was serious, farmers don't usually over-react. Being fair (and strawberry blonde as a child), I've always had to be careful with the sun. But now it's worse. We were at an indoor waterpark last weekend. Colin said I won the 'whitest white person' award. He said I almost glowed :) But that's OK, he won the 'darkest farmer tan' award by a landslide. It was fairly obvious, most of the other fathers are office workers.
Love the hat. Oh how I would love to just head to Scotland for a holiday.
