We have......
A bracketologist (for the ladderball tournament)...
Journalists...
Minnow (and crab and jellyfish) catchers...
Several baseball players....
A door-locker (only unoccupied rooms---oops)...
Puzzlers---crosswords, sudoku, jig-saw...
Brownie (and Twizzler, and crackers, and cookies, and trail mix, and M & M, and cashew) sneaky pilfer-ers...
Several readers...
Kite fliers...
Castle-makers...
China-diggers...
Wave-crashers...
Cannon-ballers...
and a whole chorus that can burp the alphabet...
BUT......
only one beach-comber....
I simply can NOT be on a beach and not walk and pick up stuff. What is your favorite beach activity? (We still have time to squeeze in a couple more things!!!) And what's the best/craziest thing you ever found in the surf?
(Today's strange find....an army ball cap.)
It looks like you guys are having a wonderful time.
I always come home with a shell or two to add to my collection.
The strangest thing I've found at the beach? Well, finding maraschino cherries was pretty odd, not what I consider beach food, but they were scattered about the sand.
Have fun!

I don't think I've found strange stuff. I love walking and picking up tiny tiny shells. Sounds like you are all having fun in the sun and sand and making family memories :) Have safe travels home!!

We went to Venice Florida for 15 years for spring break. Venice had an abundance of shark's teeth. We would pick them up daily. You had to get up early to beat the crowds to find them. A local shell shop sold equipment to make necklaces, bracelets, etc from shark's teeth. I would bring them back and let my students make them at Vacation Bible School...It was a bit hit at the time of JAWS! Enjoy. Oh, we once tried to "cook" the little shells that were still joined and had to fumigate the condo!. Live and learn!!

Great photos! Your shells are absolutely lovely.
Hmm, I don't seem to beachcomb as much as I used to. I loved shells, but I also really enjoyed collecting drift wood. I'd make makeshift mini walls and forts, or line them up by my towel.
It sounds like there is definitely fun for all. Enjoy! Enjoy!

You're a woman after my own heart Steph, paddling along the shore and picking up flotsam and jetsam and shells and such has to be my number one (and only, really) beachy occupation.

Your shells collecting turned out some beauties!
I have yet to find something odd or out of the norm at the beach, maybe I need to keep my eyes open the next time. Thanks for the reminder.
Have the best time!

What beautiful finds on the beach!!! I am a poor beach comber, since I go too fast, but I do enjoy picking things up and throwing them into the water. Lovely! Looks like fun!
