A couple days ago the mitered square sock yarn blanket got pulled out of hibernation. (I love that ravelry 'hibernation' button....those projects sort of go to la-la land and don't appear front and center when you pull up your projects. I sort of forget what's there. They really are tucked nicely away...out of sight/out of mind.)
I've managed to add almost an entire row to the blanket! I'm not quite ready to return it to no-man's-land, but I'm needing something besides mitered squares to keep me entertained. I have a bazillion (that's more than a gazillion, by the way) choices of bits to add, but they are all looking the same to me. sigh. So--- I a-l-m-o-s-t downloaded a new cowl pattern (smitten--today--with dandelion days by Chrissy Prange), but cooler heads prevailed. (Oh, that happens so rarely!) Last week I was totally in love with Madalynn (leah b thibault), downloaded it, immediately ordered the yarn (which came a couple days ago), so I cast on for that one instead. Yes, I admit, I was feeling pretty darn smug. Actually following a plan---sort of. Showing great restraint.
When I got this 'message' from my Ravelry-friend, Lisa (hi, Lisa!!)..."what happened to the Debbie Bliss cabled sweater you had started?" Oh. my. goodness. Caught. I had totally forgotten about that sweater (which I was--of course-- so in love with when I started it--how many years ago?) Is that one in hibernation, too??? Just think, someone has been monitoring my progress (or lack thereof) on it!??? ...feeling a tad guilty...and, look!!, some of my favorite stitch markers are still in that one...thought I had lost them....
this, too, is now out of 'hibernation'. And, to make matters worse better??....Lisa's sending me her leftover sock yarn bits. I'll bet she notices if the blanket goes back into time-out!!!
I can bring you some more sock yarn too, if that will help! :)

You are so funny!
I think your blanket is the prettiest thing ever and just looking at it makes me want one too.
And the cowl, I have been eyeing it, but I am trying to finish up what is already on my needles first. I really must stay away from Ravelry, maybe.

I've been wanting to make that sock yarn blanket for the longest time but I Must. Not. I love the cabled sweater too. Good work for getting stuff out of hibernation, I am awful at it.

you have excellent taste in pattern selection, my dear enabler friend. I love the cowls especially!! I have four on the needles and I am unfaithful and think of more I want to knit.

We are so knitting kindred spirits! I have so many things in hibernation I cringe. Love that sweater though. My choice to keep on knitting!

The cables on your sweater are beautiful!

I have to really resist casting on new projects while I have others on the needles or I'd never finish anything! But you're right, the Dandelion Cowl is very pretty :)

I think that we all need a Lisa to keep us on track with our projects! That cabled sweater is stunning. Wonder how it got in hibernation.

Ooh, the cabled sweater is too nice to be hibernated!
