Our (Freddy and my) l-o-n-g, l-o-n-e-l-y week has ended. PapaGeek has been in Guatemala with the first international users conference for Living Waters for the World since Friday a week ago. He's HOME!
A little over 50 people stayed in the hinterlands...shared ideas and dreams for the future. There was internet service, but he's not a chatty one; I would get rather cryptic short messages like 'arrived'; 'slept well' (this one translated: I'm not rooming with the famous snore-er, phew); 'toured today' (was this a tour of a water system? or a touristy tour that I would have loved??); 'love you'. Yep, we love you, too.
So....the knitting closet finally DID get cleaned out (as did several other closets), there was a boatload of knitting done, the Halloween decorations were replaced by Thanksgiving, Freddy and I walked and walked and walked. Even though I'm the one Freddy loves more than life itself ---his world just wasn't quite right. (I'm cutting him a break here for the chewed needles, patterns, magazines, and phone bill.) Hoping our world now will get back to normal!
PapaGeek's world? It'll never be quite the same!!!! His brush with fame....
I knew there was a reason I needed to be on that trip!!!!!!
