Baby blanket, why didn't I finish you when the weather was 50? I know 80 isn't as hot as it's going to get, but you are worsted weight acrylic and so not breathable (although machine washable, which momma will appreciate, I hope). Little Boy Blue isn't due until July and I have only two and a half more skeins to your finish line. I know there is no pressure. (On a project like you, I work better under pressure.) Maybe I'll finish up that partial skein before you go back to time out. First babies are so unpredictable, so maybe I have even more time....or, then again, maybe not. I guess you really need to be finished soon. I really will be glad to see you go.
Little flower mitts. Why did I make your flowers lavender and LIME? Blech. I had other choices. Sorry. Now I have to do it again. I'm struggling with your mate.
I've probably knit Fetching more than any other pattern...good reliable Fetching-with-a-thumb-gusset added. I really love you. I haven't lost a game of yarn-chicken in a long time, and I really hope I don't lose it knitting you. The only problem with you is you knit up so fast. Our time together is so fleeting.
Oh! Surprise!! Long lost mittens....you got down pretty deep in the UFO pile. Oops. You need a lining and thumbs. (I hate doing thumbs.) Also---apparently, I 'borrowed' your needles for something else. Back in time-out you go.
Hi, sock. (You have mitten's needles, don't you?) I like your color. I like your pattern. I like the bag you are living in. I just don't want to make two of you. So there.
Architexture! Long time, no see. You're only seeing the light of day because Andrea asked how you were. You're still very, very green. But, you are living in my favorite yarn basket/bag, so I don't totally hate you. But, one section was all I could muster the energy to knit for you. You may get more attention soon because you are hogging my favorite addi lace needles, too.
I'm apparently looking for a project that uses size 4 addi lace needles; is knit using a beautiful natural fiber lighter than worsted or dk (of which I have an ample supply) and that doesn't involve color work or thumbs or duplicates.
