Am I looking a little sad today? This look is actually not just sad,but also forlorn, disgusted, depressed, downcast, doleful, and just a little heartbroken.
Look what has invaded my world.
My human-mom's human-daughter got this creature for her youngest son's birthday. I guess that makes my human-mom a great-grandma to this ball of fur (which is sort of freaking her out)...and I instantly became a great-uncle.
She looks pretty pleased with herself, doesn't she? Well, she just pooped and peed all over the floor. I showed her how to do that outside not two minutes before. Did she follow my lead? Of course not. And then, she had the nerve to do it again...and again...and again. I give up. It's mom's problem now. I tried my best.
Oh, yeah. Her name is Marley. (Isn't that a boy-dog's name? I didn't tell her that, but she doesn't know her name anyway, so it doesn't really matter.)
She brought a toy with her...
but she seems to like the fringe on MY blanket better. Mom rescued it for me.
She chews on everything...including my ears, so I had to hop the fence and get out of her kitchen jail. (She doesn't know she's in jail. She's pretty happy there.)
And NOISE!!?! We're a very quiet family. I never ever ever make a peep---ever. And she hardly shuts up. Granted, it's a baby arf not an ARF BARK, but it's still rockin' my world. Shesh.
One really great thing happened today....that almost pulled me out of my funk...
This little baby chickadee got stuck inside the bird feeder. Mom had to dump all the birdseed out and sort of shake her loose. Birdseed is my third favorite outdoor treat after tomatoes (fresh from the garden) and my poop. So I was actually pretty happy for a little bit.
It's been a big day.
I need a nap.
