The Stylish Square blanket was zipping along nicely until I tried inserting a different colored block; it turned this reversible afghan immediately to one with a 'right' side and a 'wrong' side and I didn't like it. OK. Plan B. Back to the original design. Maybe that makes it Plan A? In either case, I now don't have enough yarn to complete this (the unending stash of grey actually does have an end). No worries. This is just Paton's Classic Wool that the local Michaels seems to always have in stock. Grabbed a ball band, knowing that there wasn't a chance I'd get the same dye lot, but the squares have a nice 'break' point, and a slight change of color shouldn't make that much difference. I bought the 5 skeins the store had left.
You know, there are dye lots.....and then there are d-y-e lots. My lovely light heathery charcoal grey blanket wasn't even close to the same color of the new yarn.....a dark, dark bluish grey. So different, perhaps I should spell it gray.
So different, it became a pillow.
