You can fill in the blank....
Haven't we all been on the search for the perfect 'something' at one time or another? The perfect pie crust recipe? The perfect, flattering pair of jeans? For me, it's the unending search for the perfect purse. I want it to 'do-it-all'....hold all my 'stuff' + a knitting project + a book, not be too heavy, have that broken-in soft leather look and feel--yet not be mistaken for a weekender bag. I think I spotted it once about 10 years ago at an open-air market in Denver. It was casually tossed behind a booth with piles of handspun yarn....and quite obviously belonged to the artist. I've lusted hunted for a similar one ever since.
So, in the meantime, I've been searching out the stuff that will go in the perfect bag when I eventually find it. I've found the wallet. An itty bitty Hobo that holds credit cards, money, change, ID all in a 3 1/2" x 5" little leather thing-y. I have another cute little zippered bag that keeps lip gloss, bandaids, nail file, and motrin handy. And now, thanks to a friend...I have the perfect purse project bag...
It is small....just sock size. It has drawstrings to keep the yarn and needles inside (without snagging on a zipper), BUT, it has an ingenious outside zippered pocket that holds stitch markers, snips, needle, and whatever. It's purse p-e-r-f-e-c-t.
It has a cocker on the outside. Freddy thinks it's pretty perfect, too. He keeps dragging it out of my purse. (maybe I need to remove the granola bar.)
(If anyone sees that perfect, beat-up leather messenger bag somewhere---------P-L-E-A-S-E let me know!!!!!)
And do tell......has ANYONE found their 'perfect' purse????
