I keep my Christmas wrapping paper, ribbon, and embellishment stuff all together in a big rubbermaid tub. See how organized I am? See what I found in there?
This is a pattern and instructions for making a bandbox. Dated 1983. Yes. I've managed to ignore it for 30 years. I suppose it's been in there because I was 'planning' on using Christmas wrapping paper to make it. Do you think?
I have absolutely no patience with glue projects, but luckily our annual church advent walk started just after I finished clamping the parts, so it was really dried by the time I got home.
A little more gluing and the top was finished.
It amazingly fit on the bottom rather well. (I failed to do the 'double-check' that the instructions recommended. I'd rather be lucky than good.)
It turned out rather cute.
But, worth a 30 year wait?
