Silk Moon Crescent Shawl knit with Noro Kureyon (4.5 balls for the larger shawl version)
Last week for Yarnalong I had a picture with 3 shawls started and some socks. I didn't have the nerve to line up all the UFOs. It's gotten pretty out of hand around here. There are at least two other shawls somewhere, several pairs of socks, two or three sweaters in various stages of done, and that's just the stuff that's sort of at the top of the pile. I HAD to finish something that was already started. (And not start anything new. Well, nothing big--I'm sort of still in elephant production, but I think that counts as one project.)
Not sure why I chose this to finish--in 90+ degree weather. Maybe because it most likely won't get any cooler the rest of the summer. Kureyon is HOT on your lap. Sweaty, drippy hot. (No way was I putting this on to model.) I think I like it. I'll know for sure sometime in December.

We really need a cold front to blow in so you can wear that stunning piece of knit wear!

I just love Noro! My last shawl I completed was made from some Noro Silk Sock yarn. The colors on your shawl are just gorgeous! I hope you get some cooler weather so you can wear it.

Love the bright and dark stripes of this. You're right - sweaty drippy knitting is no fun. Come winter time, you'll be all set.

Gorgeous! I always wonder why I knit with wool when it's hot out. One year I worked on a blanket through the summer, that was a crazy idea. Good luck with NOT starting another new project :)

So beautiful. No one can beat Noro for amazing colors. Love that crescent shape, too. It seems like it would stay in place better than a triangular shawl? Let me know in December :)
